Christianity is above all a hymn to joy. It’s like entering a dance. All that’s needed is for a space to open up, for a hand to reach out and invite you to join in. What emerges under the regime of grace is a hospitable catechesis that recognises the uniqueness of individuals in a fraternal community context. A dialogical catechesis that is nurtured by friendly discussion, provides personalised support and promotes cooperation. Experimental catechesis, with no rigid models fixed in advance, allowing people to try things out and then evaluate them, building on the experience gained. A catechesis that is nourished by beauty, that draws on the arts, that takes care of the environment and recommends that we make our lives, as far as possible, with the grace of God, a beautiful work for the good of all.
