In response to Pope Francis' call to undertake a missionary conversion of all pastoral care,
the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization has published the Directory for Catechesis (2020).
This Directory −third of the post-conciliar series− is called to promote the catechizing activity of the Church
in the coming years. Trueto its statutory purposes, the Spanish Association of Catechists (AECA)
presents this Commentary as a service to catechetical reflection and the catechetical praxis of our Churches and Christian communities.
The intended purpose is to favor and accompany its reception, as well as to help deepen the new theological-catechetical perspectives that constitute the keys and main plot of the Directory.
